Mini Baccarat Rules: Small Stake Baccarat

Mini baccarat rules closely follow the rules of baccarat except in two areas: bet limits and dealing of cards. For many, especially for low rollers, mini baccarat rules are more amenable to them than baccarat rules.

Baccarat is often a high stakes bet--- a favorite among high rollers. Usually, baccarat tables are even cordoned off because of the high stakes involved.

Now you don't need to have large sum of money to play the game. Mini baccarat rules are designed to let players with medium to small bankroll to enjoy the game. Mini baccarat also the game to played at faster pace than regular baccarat.

Mini baccarat rules on bet limits are, again, different from baccarat rules. Baccarat bet limits are huge, with minimum bet limits typically starting at $25 and maximum limits reaching $500 and more! In mini baccarat, maximum bet limits rarely exceed $25.

How are mini baccarat rules on dealing of cards different from baccarat rules?

1.While baccarat allows players to, deal cards, in mini baccarat, only the dealer can officially deal cards.

This rule allows the game to be played at a faster rate than baccarat.

2.In mini baccarat, both Player and Banker hands are dealt face up. In regular baccarat, both hands are dealt facedown.

The rest of mini baccarat rules on card values, calculating hand values, and third card rules are the same with baccarat rules.

In mini baccarat, the card values are the following:

1. The value of an Ace is 1. 2. 2 through 9 have face value. 3. 10, J, Q, K have 0 or no value.

To get the value of a hand, cards are totaled. If the total value reaches double digits, only the right digit is considered; the left digit is ignored.

For instance, if the total calculated value is 15, the value of the hand is 5; if 20, the value of the hand is 0.

In mini baccarat, players bet on what they believe would be a possible winning outcome. They can choose between 3 bets: Player, Banker, and Tie. A bet on Tie means that player believes the Player and Banker hands would end up with the same total value.

For a hand to win, it must have a total value of 9 or close to it. If neither hand has reached a total value of 9 or 8, a third card will be drawn if conditions for drawing of third cards is met by both hands.

Mini baccarat is played on a table with 7 seats, while regular baccarat is played on a table with 14 seats.

Again, mini baccarat rules are closely patterned after baccarat rules. The goal of mini baccarat, however, is to let players with medium to small wagering bankrolls to participate in the game. Thus, minimum/maximum bet limits in mini baccarat have been lowered. In mini baccarat also, only the dealer deals the cards. All in all, minim baccarat rules are designed to allow more games to be played per hour at lower wagering cost.
